Privacy Policy

BohoMockup is a Chrome extension and website that help sellers of printable wall art create interior mockups and add them to their Etsy listings. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions or requests: vlada.lipska@gmail.com.
The short version
- Your artwork is processed in your browser. It is never uploaded to our servers.
- The 7 free scenes need no account. An account (Google sign-in) is only needed for Premium.
- Usage statistics are off until you say yes, and they are anonymous.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Artwork you add
The extension places your poster into mockup scenes inside your browser. Free scenes are bundled with the extension. Premium scenes are downloaded to your browser from our server while you are signed in as a subscriber. In both cases your poster stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Etsy integration
The extension runs on etsy.com pages so that, when you ask it to, it can add the generated images to the Photos field of the listing you have open. It does this by passing the image files to that page in your browser. It does not read your listing text, prices, orders or customer data, and it does not publish your listing. Etsy’s own privacy policy applies to what you upload to Etsy.
Permissions the extension requests
- Side panel: to show the BohoMockup interface next to your page.
- Scripting: to add the upload helper to an Etsy tab that was already open before the extension was installed or updated. It is only used on etsy.com.
- Identity: to let you sign in with Google when you choose Premium.
- Storage: to remember your settings (such as your statistics choice) and your sign-in session in your browser.
- Access to etsy.com: only to add images to your open listing, as described above.
Information we collect
- Waitlist email: if you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you enter, solely to contact you about BohoMockup access. The form is processed by Web3Forms (web3forms.com), which forwards it to our inbox; Web3Forms’s own privacy policy applies to that processing.
- Feedback and contact: if you send a message through the form on our website, we receive your message, the type you chose and, only if you enter it, your email address. It is forwarded to our inbox by Web3Forms and is used only to improve BohoMockup or to reply to you. If you email us directly, we receive the email address and message you send.
- Account (Premium only): when you sign in with Google we receive and store your Google account identifier and verified email address, and the status of your subscription. We do not receive your Google password.
- Premium downloads: we log how many Premium scene files an account downloads per day, to prevent abuse and to enforce a fair-use limit.
- Billing: payments and invoices are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We store Stripe’s customer and subscription identifiers and your subscription status so we know whether your subscription is active.
- Subscription events: when you subscribe, change or cancel, we record that event against a pseudonym of your account to run the service.
- Usage statistics (optional): the first time you open the extension we ask whether you want to share anonymous usage statistics. If you say yes, we store a random identifier created on your device, the extension version, your approximate country (derived by our hosting provider; we do not store your IP address) and events such as which scenes you use, how many mockups you create, and whether an upload or sign-in failed. If you are signed in, we also store a one-way pseudonym of your account. We never collect your posters, file names or email address in these statistics. Choosing “No thanks”, or turning the setting off later in the panel, stops collection and deletes the random identifier from your device.
- Website analytics: this website runs no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking, and sets no tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy and a consent mechanism will be updated first.
How we use it
Only to provide and secure the service (sign-in, subscriptions, Premium downloads, abuse prevention), to understand which scenes and features are useful so we can improve them (statistics, only if you opted in), and to answer your messages. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare: hosts our website and the server that handles sign-in, subscriptions, Premium scene downloads and statistics.
- Google: provides Google sign-in.
- Stripe: processes payments and subscription management.
- Web3Forms: delivers waitlist and feedback form submissions to our inbox.
Each of these acts under its own terms and privacy policy. Some of them may process data outside your country.
How long we keep it
Account and subscription records are kept while your account is active and as long as needed for billing, tax and legal obligations. Anonymous usage statistics are kept until we delete them. Form messages stay in our email inbox until we delete them. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below).
Your choices and rights
You can turn usage statistics off in the extension panel at any time. You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to delete your account, by emailing vlada.lipska@gmail.com. Depending on where you live (for example in the EEA, the UK or California) you may have additional rights, such as objecting to or restricting processing, or complaining to your data protection authority. You can cancel a subscription yourself from the Manage button in the extension panel.
Security
Premium scenes are stored privately and only served to signed-in subscribers over encrypted connections. Sign-in tokens are short-lived and kept in session storage in your browser. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect the data we hold.
Children
BohoMockup is built for people who sell products and is not directed at children. If you are under 16, please do not create an account or send us personal data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated, and we will make any significant change visible in the extension or on our website.
